Soil microbiome is the collection of all microorganisms, such as bacteria, fungi, viruses, and their genes, that naturally live in the soil. The soil microbiome manages biogeochemical cycling of micronutrients, macronutrients and other elements essential for plant growth, soil regeneration and landfill management etc.
